Ward Says... Photography
has taken me to places that some only dream about and to
places that we pass by every day without notice. I love to see
things that people do not normally see. I love to show people
what is out in the world to see. I cannot let the world go by
without discovering all that it has to offer. I have been
doing photography for 40 odd years. Photography is my number
one love after my wife, Diane, and my Great Dane, Duke. Our
love for photography has taken us to many places. I prefer my
Canon 5D as it is a wonderful camera. I have an exercise I go
through when I am about to shoot a photograph. How can I make
my camera see what I envision in my mind? Then I work on what
I am about to compose.
People often ask me, Do you
like to take pictures? My answer to that is that I don't
take pictures, I make pictures. Life is an image created by
a self of one. What people view, and what others perceive,
is never the same. What people see is strictly an image. I
also have a love for writing poetry and adding it to my
digital photography. I often think of that rare moment when
I am in the presence of some joyous alignment of events.
Where the light, the color, the shapes and the balance all
interlock so beautifully that I feel truly overwhelmed by
the wonder of it. That is when all my senses begin to take
over and my camera produces what my mind envisions.
Best Regards,
Ward

adding a feminine touch to her photos. I depend
on her for her editing, typing and
organizational skills.
